Giovanni and Telemaco Signorini at Palazzo Strozzi
With their nostalgic brush strokes and a light that still enchants spectators today, Giovanni and Telemaco Signorini, father and son, depicted a world that was soon to disappear: Florence as it transformed into the country’s capital (for a few years), with horse-drawn carriages and echoes of the Belle Époque. The unique exhibition at Palazzo Antinori, vaunting 60 artworks, is an occasion to visit the residence of the 500-year-old noble, Florentine family. In an unprecedented event, the Antorni heirs will open the historic rooms on the piano nobile to the public.
