The latest creature of famous Florentine chef Fabio Picchi is Caffè Cibreo, an elegant café just steps away from the Market of Sant’Ambrogio. In this small world of little round tables and mahogany paneling, Fabio experiments with ingredients, combinations and mixtures…From locally sourced products to the beneficial properties of spices and herbs. Among the must-tries: Donoratico tomato pudding and fish carpaccio (in summertime), yoghurt and curcuma powder pudding (in winter), veal with tuna-caper sauce, meatloaf with homemade mayonnaise. Open from 8 am to midnight, breakfast and aperitivo time are taken as seriously as lunch and dinner. Skillfully prepared Spritz cocktails served with little schiacciata bread and cecina flatbread.
