The Mayor at Palazzo Vecchio
Florentine by adoption, Dario Nardella, besides having a law degree, graduated in violin performance at the Luigi Cherubini College of Music in Florence. A very valuable experience for both his life and career. As he said: “Music taught me to live and taught me discipline”. He is very attentive to Florence’s history and past, but also particularly sensitive to contemporary art. His innovative vision contributed to bringing Florence closer to some great contemporary artists, such as Jeff Koons and Jan Fabre.
