For all who are looking for something extraordinary. In the heart of the Oltrarno area, nestled in the lively bustle of the San Frediano neighborhood, there is a place where time seems to have stopped. The sound of the silvery river overlaps with that of the looms, which have been producing silk jacquard fabrics of extraordinary beauty since the late 1700s. There is also a loom designed by Leonardo da Vinci and still perfectly working. It was the year 1786, when some noble Florentine families, including the della Gherardescas, Puccis, Bartolozzis, Corsinis and Agrestis, agreed to the establishment of a workshop, where the looms and precious weaving patterns were shared between the families. Today, Antico Setificio Fiorentino is owned by fashion designer Stefano Ricci.
