“Perfume is a hint of one’s thoughts, a piece of the soul revealed, a door closed to some and open to others, an opportunity, a game, a way to seduce.” These are the words of one of the most famous noses in Italy, Lorenzo Villoresi, who since 1990 has created bespoke perfumes for admirers from all over the world, celebrities and the aristocracy included, in his workshop that boasts a view of Brunelleschi’s dome and the red rooftops of Florence. Today, his workshop is also a school and museum, where visitors can learn everything about the ancient and mysterious art of perfumers and spice seekers. A surprising, multisensory journey awaits, exploring stories, myths and legends through fragrant gardens, botanical trails and olfactory locations.
