A must-see tradition for Florentines on a bright spring Easter morning in Piazza Duomo. All eyes are on the “Brindellone”, the great tower-shaped chariot filled with fireworks. The highlight is scheduled for around 11am, when the Archbishop lights the fuse of a “Columbine” with the sacred fire. The flame runs along a wire stretched from the Duomo to the Carro. A unique firework display that traditionally dates back to the end of the 14th century. A delight for young and old.
